TNC helped us set up manufacturing in Mexico in 2003 and has been a trusted partner and advisor for close to 20 years. We value our relationship with TNC.

As we were recovering from the economic slowdown caused by the 2020 Pandemic, the sales orders began to increase at a pace that was driving us close to the physical constraints of our Clearwater, Florida manufacturing operation. Additionally, the labor market became very challenging due to the massive commercial and industrial growth in Clearwater.

Our strategic response to the situation was to shift significant sales volume to the Matamoros operation which is 100% staffed by TNC (The Nearshore Company) and managed by our Brownsville, Texas based Plant Manager. We also decided to add the metal stamping process to our longstanding legacy processes (insert molding and assembly) at Matamoros.

We requested from TNC several Value Added Services which are part of their current capabilities and some which were not but they diligently complied with all our requests. We view TNC as our strategic partner for the Mexico region which drove Sun to share the total project scope and our 5 Year Business Development Strategy with TNC (The Nearshore Company).

Currently the project is midway in progress and running as per our initial timeline. TNC have done an outstanding job of supporting our short term needs and have provided robust alternatives for the long-term business growth in the Mexico region as per our Strategic Business Plan.

For many small to medium sized manufacturers the idea of expanding operations into Mexico is overwhelming. After an exhaustive evaluation of possible solutions, we chose to work with TNC. The decisions was largely based upon their claims to competence, transparency, and commitment to success. Well, the claims weren’t empty words – they were reality. TNC continues to tweak processes and find new efficiencies to create our products in better ways. They have also helped us to quickly ramp up and ramp down production based on our customer needs. I cannot be more pleased with TNC. They are our turnkey solution for outsourced production. They really are a one-stop-shop by handling everything from staffing to logistics. The management team they put in place has been exceptional and has created a facility that is simply an extension of our home office.

The Nearshore Company has given great service and attention through the pandemic… while this period has been trying for all in many ways, our close partnership with The Nearshore Company management has provided us a strategic advantage in keeping our customer service and fill rates at an excellent level to keep our customers not only in business but exceeding expectations to their customer base. The management here is very responsive, professional, and allows us to concentrate on our business while the other services are provided seamlessly and without us having to develop core competencies yet in those areas – we leave that to The Nearshore Company.
